Kevin Roberts grew up surfing goofy-foot in Malibu, California, in a world surrounded by art, humor and creativity. At an early age Kevin had begun to view the world through the eyes of a camera, with the creative influence of his parents, both photographers and artists from Art Center School of Design. His father, Jack Roberts (cofounder of Carson/Roberts advertising) inspired Kevin with an early introduction to the world of advertising.
When he wasn't in the water or behind the lens of a camera, Kevin was drumming. Music opened up new doors for him and Kevin went on tour, performing with various groups, including Iron Butterfly, Surf Punks and performances with Eddie Van Halen, Lee Michaels and Shuggie Otis. His musical and visual talents earned him a position for 2 years as creative visual effects director for a Barry Manilow world tour.
His Portfolio includes documentary film work for clients such as Director Stacy Peralta’s “Dog town Z Boyz”, “Riding Giants” and “Pipeline Masters”. In T.V., Kevin has traveled the world and worked with ABC, NBC, MTV, Travel Channel, CNN and Discovery Channel. With his offbeat approach, sense of adventure, and willingness to do whatever it takes to get the best shot, Kevin has hung from cliffs, dangled from helicopters, river-rafted, surfed, skied, snow boarded and scuba-dived. Kevin is still shooting Television shows, pilots, commercials, and documentaries on all of the many formats available today and yesterday. His record is 7 formats in 1 day!...he still prefers Latte’s before 9A.M.
