Heather started out with plans to become a Clinical Psychologist, but the powerful memory of playing Butty the Dog in a school play at the age of 8 was too great and led her to follow her acting dream. Since graduating from The Poor School she has performed in numerous films and theatre productions. She is one of the original members of the critically acclaimed Sturdy Beggars Theatre Company and has performed with them in Gombrowicz's ‘Princess Ivona’ and Mamet's ‘Boston Marriage’. Many of her films have been screened and won awards at International festivals, including Cannes and LA Short Film Festival, among others. Her vampire-like pale skin has proved helpful in securing horror feature film roles – she played a lead role in ‘Till Sunset’ (which has recently been picked up for US distribution) and starred in ‘Grave Tales’ with Brian Murphy. She played the lead in feature film ‘Wrists’, which is currently being screened at selected cinemas both in the UK and Internationally. She recently played a lead role in comedy/drama pilot Call Girls, currently in post-production. After a successful Edinburgh run in Summer 2011, Heather filmed a TV pilot with comedy sketch group Zeus’ Pamphlet. She is currently filming with her new sketch group ‘Don’t Shoot The Mermaid’, who write, perform and produce sketches for online broadcast.
