Cierra Lockett writes complex women in authentic worlds, with an innate flair for black and southern identity. She tackles social issues with sophistication and humor, whether writing drama, history, or supernatural horror. Her stories explore the bonds of blood and found family, how our present is deeply rooted in our past, and the differences between who we appear to be and who we truly are. Her scripts have placed in Atlanta Film Festival, Austin Film Festival, Nashville Film Festival, and various ScreenCraft contests. She was selected as a writer in the 2022 cohort of the CBS Leadership Pipeline Challenge.
