About Naira

Naira Badalyan is a first-generation Armenian American woman, screenwriter, and actor with some high-quality archery skills. Born and raised in the San Fernando Valley, she was surrounded by her Armenian community. In a culture in which the men hold the power and women are encouraged not to be outspoken, there she stood a five foot tall, chubby young girl who was very opinionated and ready to question the world around her. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology in 2015. Her first opportunity as an actor appeared in 2018 when she was cast in a co-star role in the first season of Mayans M.C. This earned her entry into the SAG-AFRTA Union. She continued to prosper by booking roles in Dear White People, Superstore and S.W.A.T. In 2018, she completed the year long Professional Program in Screenwriting for Film at UCLA and in 2020 she was accepted into the California State University MFA in Screenwriting Program and is set to complete her degree in May 2022.
