About Allen

Hi, Talen is the name I use professional. A nickname used by my great Grandparents, from way back when. They spoke broken English (Gaelic/English). Talen could be Allen in Gaelic, or maybe they just mispronounced my name, I don't know, but I've always like it. After working for approximately 25 years in Theatre (Dancer, Actor, Choreographer, Director, Playwright) I decided to attend Film School. After which I worked as an Editor (NextFilm, RogersTV), while writing and/or directing a number of Short Films. I've written 5 plays that have been produced by various Theatre companies, here n Toronto, Canada, as well in New York City, San Francisco and London, England. Now trying my hand with Screenwriting. I've written, produced and directed a couple of my short scripts and now am writing features. I joined Stage32 about a year ago, but then got sidetracked with an idea for a script, and have now finished it, and currently shopping that script around, along with another script to potential Producers and Studio.
