About Kevin

Kevin Young. Born August 2, 1960 in Norfolk, Virginia. One of eight children, Kevin is a graduate of the prestigious Newport News Apprentice School where he studied Naval Ship Construction and Design and played football as a wide receiver under the direction of the legendary NFL quarterback Norm Snead and received the school’s “Golden Athletic Award”.

Upon graduating Kevin started an Industrial supply business in the heart of Hampton Roads Virginia which he ran for 13 years. Later, Kevin turned to his life - long love of movies and began writing screenplays. He caught the acting bug after moving to Florida. He’s appeared in more than 15 independent film productions including: “Tears of Remedy,” “The Fatalist,” "Opus,” and several episodes of “Dr. G Medical Examiner”. and is the co- writer of the award winning screenplay "Blood Orange".

As an independent filmmaker, Kevin’s goals are to produce inspiring, thought provoking films on topics that many filmmakers have only touched upon or failed to explore deeply in the past.

Kevin is a member of the American Screen Writers Association, CA and the Founder and Host Administrator of the WAG TAG Actors Group at Full Sail University in Winter Park, FL. This is a free monthly workshop dedicated to helping all actors sharpen their acting skills.
