Shashone Lambert Short was born and raised in Staten Island, N.Y., and has performed in theatre, independent films, and television. Not one to complain about the lack of work, Shashone began writing. She has been accepted into the writing program at the Writers Guild Foundation. Her full-length play Holy Intervention was invited to be a part of the Playwrights of Color Summit with Quicksilver Theatre Company, National Black Theatre Staged Reading Series, Atlanta Black Theatre Festival Reading Series, and New African Grove Theatre Company New Works Series. She was accepted into the Playwrights Bootcamp with the Frank Silvera Writers Workshop, in which her Audio Theatre play, Dying to Party won first place. She has also written a webseries, Investments The Series and Short Films, Beautiful Killer, Butter-Fly, The Cure. All projects have been accepted into several film festivals and have won awards, including Best Webseries, Best Short Film, and Best Writer. She also has two upcoming Short Films as both an actor and writer, set to be released early 2021.
