The Stage 32 Videos: Pitch

Pitch trailer- "Rut" (2025)

Here's to the success waiting to come in a new year...and let's hear it for the folks at WriterDuet (with their ScreenplayIQ program)! Well...anyway...here's a pitch trailer touting a comedy screenplay of mine in which a retirement consultant and a realtor elevate their cooking hobby by opening a pizza parlor in modern-day Sacramento. (Okay...the twosome don't know a thing about running a restaurant or the industry's ups and downs...but still...) Hope you enjoy the trailer!

Concept art for the game "Mannequin". Created in Grok.

A short game story: In an abstract world of concrete, rows of mannequins stand sleeping. An Angel of Light flew between their rows, brushing them with its luminous wings. And one mannequin woke up from the Angel's touch. It opened its eyes and began searching for a way out. The three stages of the protagonist Mannequin's journey: 1. Sleep. 2. Awakening. 3. The search for self and an exit from the abstract matrix. 4. Liberation, emergence into the real world.

Pitch trailer- "Rapunzel and Lady Godiva" (2025)

Well...here it is...and it's courtesy of the folks at WriterDuet (specifically, the company's ScreenplayIQ program). It's a trailer propping up the closest thing I've got to a romcom. This screenplay owes more to "The Fabulous Baker Boys," because it's about a theater student and her ultrafeminist younger sister teaming up in modern-day Chicago to form a duo-piano lounge act...that Big Sister's singing ex-boyfriend schemes to horn in on. (Never mind that the two siblings are out to strengthen their bond.)

Pitch trailer- "Edna's Garage," S1E1 (2025)

Well...it's time to offer up a ScreenplayIQ-created pitch trailer to back up the TV sitcom pilot I came up with...where the three mechanics at an auto-repair firm in today's New Orleans try to get their boss to hire an extra coworker to lighten the load (more vehicles than time to fix them). Hope you enjoy the trailer!

Pitch trailer- "Pipe Up!" (2025)

Fresh from WriterDuet's ScreenplayIQ division, here it is...a pitch trailer touting a comedy screenplay about an Arizona Cardinals cheerleader who seeks to save a landmark restaurant in modern-day Mesa, AZ from becoming the Metro Phoenix area's new DHS headquarters.

Pitch trailer- "The Nutcrackers" (2025)

Here's another ScreenplayIQ offering...this time propping up a comedy where two ballerinas in modern-day Kansas City, MO ponder life after ballet...and answer the bell by taking a page out of dancer-turned-singer Vanessa Carlton's playbook and becoming blues musicians at a famed local bar and grill.

Pitch trailer- "Rivertown Rock!" (2025)

That comedy screenplay about the Beatles' 2-9-1964 appearance on "The Ed Sullivan Show" inspiring an Iowa teen to start her own rock group now has a ScreenplayIQ-generated pitch trailer to go along with the video lookbook I came up with in 2020. What a difference five years make...

Pitch trailer- "Golden Oldies" (2025)

ScreenplayIQ did it again! This time, it put together a pitch trailer to prop up a comedy-drama where, thanks to a phone call from one of her old buddies from college, a librarian in modern-day Ames, IA sets out to put her old rock band back together...and conquer a famous local venue. Thanks, ScreenplayIQ!

Edgar Allan Pitch Deck

It's the first time I've created one this extensive. Making it into a video allows the viewer to cruise through. I kinda love it.

Pitch trailer- "Fine Tooth Comb" (2025)

The folks at screenplayiq.com did it again! This time, they generated a pitch trailer in support of a comedy screenplay where a teen in 1994 Davenport, IA draws inspiration from a videotape to...start her own Dixieland band in the hopes of playing that local jamboree called the Bix Beiderbecke Jazz Festival.

Pitch trailer- "Small Flyers" (2025)

I went back to https://screenplayiq.com to get it to create a pitch trailer about two little girls in 1946 Albuquerque who want to take up flying...a la their WW2 Army Air Corps pilot father (the same dad struggling to readjust to civilian life, where female aviators still aren't respected). Thanks again, ScreenplayIQ!

Pitch trailer- "Shorthose and Flaxbeard" (2025)

"Shorthose and Flaxbeard" came out of my initial (1979) screenwriting goal of spoofing every film genre out there up to that time...and a vaudeville story was in my tracks. (And now, here's the ScreenplayIQ pitch trailer to prove it!)
