A full-time freelance writer since 2000 and author of more than 50 books for children, youth, and adults with more than 2.7 million copies in print, I have moved into screenwriting and acting in 2018. Acting classes with midwest independent filmmaker, Dan Steadman, through his film company, Circa87 led to a screenwriting mentorship with Dan. Besides writing projects for the actors, it led to the filming of my first short film, "How Much for the Heart?" The internship ended with the writing a first draft of a feature film I hope to produce at some point.
My acting credits include a supporting role in the theatrical released full-length film, "The Galoshes" as well as a principal role in a student film (Webster University), "Stripped". I wrote and acted in a supporting role in a short film, "How Much for the Heart?" I had supporting roles in a short film, "The Grumbler" and a feature, "Million Dollar Razzle Dazzle" (Circa87 Films). Prior to the Covid delay, filming began for a feature family filming, "The Mutts", which I played a role as a voice actor. I look forward to more acting and screenwriting opportunities. I'm learning and soaking up all I can regarding filmmaking.
