David M. Treadway

Having begun my career as a "one-man-band" I have a unique perspective on the end-to-end process of video production. Years spent bringing in clients, creating project concepts and shooting, directing, and editing, uniquely qualifies me as a producer and director. The project is a timeline in my mind, along which I am considering every aspect of the process as it relates to the moment I currently find myself in. My early freelance work included projects for Maritz' Customer Experience division, Lewis Rice, LLC., and Coolfire Studios, and were met with rave reviews.

In 2013 I began working as an assistant editor for Coolfire Studios' original content division in St. Louis, MO. After 2 years in a freelance capacity they brought me on to show run a web series for their Digital Engagement department; Build-A-Bear Workshop's Bearville Alive! Along with some of the most talented writers, art directors, puppeteers and digital strategists with whom I've had the pleasure to work, I created a weekly branded children's web series highlighting Build-A-Bear's current product lines while telling fun and engaging stories. Build-A-Bear saw an 1,800% increase in subscribers, more than 30 million minutes of watch time and a content library boasting over 100 pieces of branded digital video. I had the privilege of overseeing 3 other web series for Digital Engagement following my handing off of Bearville Alive! to the show's writer whom we developed into the role of director/showrunner.

From there I directed and/or produced numerous digital pieces for BABW, Blue Whale/Cepia Toys, Microsoft, Drury Inn and others. These pieces ranged from stop-motion animation to live action online commercials featuring animals, kids and awesome mechanized toys.

I am excited to put all of this experience to work for you in producing, directing and delivering high-impact content.

When I'm not on set you can find me relaxing with a good tobacco-pipe smoke and an Old Fashioned.
