I am a filmmaker and military veteran with a desire to tell stories. I started my filmmaking path with screenwriting and have grown into other areas of production such as Cinematography, Editing, and Motion Graphics. I have a wide variety of experience from corporate/government videos and broadcast TV commercials to documentaries, short films, NFL Films work, and have been blessed to work on the set of Portlandia, The Librarians, and Green Room as a Production Assistant. Experienced with various cameras such as Sony DVCAM, XDCAM, and FS100, 16mm & 8mm film, Canon C100 & Canon DSLRs, and the Black Magic CInema & Pocket cameras as well.
I have a few screenplays under my belt, my first being a full length feature film as well as multiple short films.
I have written, directed, and shot two short films that have both been selected into film festivals. My documentary, Prevail, was an official selection into the 2013 Portland Film Festival and recently my short narrative drama, Bridgetown, was an official selection into the 2014 Portland Film Festival as well as the 2014 Mind Rights Film Festival in Portugal. Story is always first and foremost for me and feel that as filmmakers it is our obligation to create emotional, thought provoking content that can move people in some way. It also our responsibility as filmmakers to shed light on social issues and be able to give a voice to those who do not have one.
