How to make the sitcom Thomas Butler Show Better It's an animated series

Hello And Happy Saturday, this is kiara i know i've been here for a long time, i am currently working on a show called Thomas, but i wonder which studio is better than Toon Boom i have it but its too advanced. I started writing this in january of this year and the next step is to get it on the air one day, should i continue using Vyond or use a different program? thanks

Try Open Toonz. It's free. It does most of what Harmony does. The documentation is much better. It's easier to use. It has fewer advanced features but you probably won't notice.

If you need to set up master controllers and animation sliders etc. try Moho. Much cheaper and anything would be easier to learn than a Toonboom product.

Toonboom has a side business selling training, so they are motivated to make their documentation incomplete and difficult.

Have you tried Blender? it’s a free, open ware, animation program.

Sorry I didn't realize you were looking for something so simple. I thought you just meant easier than Harmony. Honestly those explainer video makers aren't going to take you very far. Sometimes we just have to invest the time to learn some complex stuff. Try Synfig Studio for free or Adobe Animate. They are much simpler and what you learn will be transferable.

Learning is frustrating, , but if you want to make animations, it will be worth it.

When Open Toonz was first made free, I took a look but it was way too dense for me and my students.

I teach Toon Boom Studio to my younger students. Easier than Harmony, but not for sale anymore.

Two affordable options are Synfig Studio (already mentioned) and Pencil 2D.

Moho, TV Paint, and Adobe Animate are good, but not free.

If you’re looking to do explainer type videos, give Animaker a try.

Thanks for the tips, Mike Boas!
