Stanley Kubrick has often been described as a mysterious man, and his level of secrecy also extended to the way he presented himself and his fashion choices.

Billy Kwack

Hi Maurice, okay. Steven Kings story is rose red, I got it backwards

Will Joker 2 age with grace?

I just watched JOKER 2 last night and was happily surprised that I enjoyed it so much. Perhaps all of the different reviews and opinions had me in the right head space but I thought it was a great film and the performances were astounding. Have you seen the film? If so, what did you think? And do yo...

Funny, E Langley - Ishtar became a cult classic to a group of friends of mine over time who love Charles Grodin. They quote it every time we're together. Not saying they're right nor am I defending Is...

Sam, who can forget:

Telling the truth can be dangerous business/ Honest and popular don't go hand in hand.

A tad hyperbolic in my criticism. "Ishtar" is a fun update of Hope/Crosby Road movies. At 145...

It's hard to age with grave when it's not very good to start... I can't see there being a big critical redefinition of it

I think there's a Freudian slip in this post. ^

Ridley Scott Regrets Not Securing the Rights to the ‘Alien’ and ‘Blade Runner’ Franchises: ‘Someone Was Careless’

This is an interesting article and whilst Ridley Scott rues the day he didn’t pin down the ownership of rights to Alien and Blade Runner, it seems that this had to do with the time and situation of his career.

“I should have locked them up, as [Steven] Spielberg did with ‘Jurassic,’ and everything h...

The top documentaries for the award season

Hi, It’s that time of year again and so here are the top documentary award contenders. What are your favourites?

Personally, I like the look of No Other Land, Soundtrack to a Coup D’Etat and Super/Man: The Christopher Reeve Story.

The Astonishing Meta-truth of The Prestige

I'm not quite sure how I managed to take so long to get around to watching The Prestige, but I'm just now at the climax, and having realized the twist, I am in complete awe of Christopher Nolan.

I had no notion what to expect, I purposefully avoid all info related to select Creatives' projects, and s...

RIP Teri Garr

I directed a low-budget indie feature when I was just starting out and we managed to get Teri Garr to do a few days on the film. She was all class. She brought her A-game as a quintessential professional would. It was an honor and privilege and I've remained her biggest fan. I learned a lot from her...

My favourite movie is THE BLACK STALLION. Watched it a month ago with my Dad (80) and my daughter (10). Loved Teri Garr in MR. MOM, too.

So sad... rest in peace

Richard Hohenrath

Sad news about Teri. Always such a warm, lively screen presence, who could balance comedy and drama so well. Loved her roles in Close Encounters, The Black Stallion, Tootsie, and so many others. Thanks for sharing your experience with her, Sam.. Rest In Peace, Teri.

Deborah Jennings

Very sad. I did not know she was struggling with MS. I absolutely loved and continue to laugh when I watch "Mr. Mom" with her and Michael Keaton. A couple sharing work and the home load when it first was becoming a "thing". They both were amazing with a great script.

Xochi Blymyer

Oh, so sorry to hear this. She was so good. I'm happy you had the chance to know her. May she rest in peace.
