Need distributor for full feature

I have a completed full feature-psych thriller/horror/non-slasher with trailer, 45 some actors, many great locations, all the deliverables but can't find a distributor who is honest. Anyone out there???

Stephen Folker

Sadly, not too many options for for indie filmmakers that are transparent / honest. Don't give up! Keep looking.

Congratulations on completing your feature! For finding prospective distributors, I'd always suggest looking up distributors of similar titles on IMDb. If you look on the companies tab on a film's page you can find a list of distributors there. The distributor who's territory is listed as "worldwide" is often the sales agent. Most films are represented by a sales agent who then sells the international rights.

In the same boat as you. I suggest, looking to radio stations to market your film and film festivals. Look to tv broadcast networks to showcase your film. That is what my director and I are doing.

If you're looking to have a local network in your area showcase your film, that's a viable option. But if you're wanting a big one, not gonna happen. Jon Shallit - I'd start with having a killer poster and trailer, then do a one-page website and reach to sales agents. Don't agree to any marketing fees and make sure all expenses are pre-approved. Keep the term of your agreement short too (3 years or less).

Do you have a link to your trailer?
