Financing / Crowdfunding : Book to Mini-series by Joe Becker

I have a book that we would like to turn into a mini-series. The book was written by a spy about actual experiences during the cold war. We have a budget and a plan, and the budget is extremely low. We feel this can be done mostly documentary style, with some re-enactments, to keep costs low. Plus, there are certain locations that can be used for all episodes. We can use each location once, shooting scenes for all episodes at one time. These are some amazing, true stories that we'd love to tell. Some of the people involved are still alive and could be interviewed, and used as consultants on the project. Permission was needed, and was granted, by the pentagon to publish the book. We also have their blessing on making the film. The cold war is a hot topic at the moment, and many younger people have no clue what the term means. Many classified documents have been declassified, making this a great time to get this project out to the public. We see this as a low cost, high yield project, a good money maker. We also see a relatively short period between investment and return.
