Hello all! I am currently working on a documentary film and am looking for funding options to get this production underway. I can give details if interested.
I am doing the same and I've found that depending on what your subject is, there are some grants available. It's a bit of a search around but perhaps your film will fit into the specific requirements.
Just wanted to share some inspiration with you all as we head into the weekend. Did you know that some of the most iconic films in history were made on shoestring budgets but went on to make millions? This just goes to show that you don't always need a massive budget to create something amazing. All it takes is creativity & passion.
Napoleon Dynamite is always my favorite example. That movie was quoted for 10 years straight without stopping!
Absolutely! It’s incredible how creativity and passion can turn a limited budget into something extraordinary. Thanks for the inspiring reminder as we head into this week!
Nice! I've always liked our German neighbours' famous quote: "In der Beschränkung zeigt sich erst der Meister". And it's not just limited money but also limited time that can boost unexpected creative solutions. Such restrictions can be a blessing in disguise and may lead to new gems!
I agree with you Charles Caster ! I've also heard a record label owner here in America say, "Sometimes too much money is the problem." It's important to work with what you have and be resourceful. Tha...

Hey all,
I'm working on a feature in the Pacific Northwest, and I'm looking to build a network of lead and executive producers to get this off the ground. I know financing can get especially hard in the PNW, so any thoughts / comments are greatly appreciated. What's the best way to get in front of e...

I follow several Youtubers who critic and review films. One of the "tubers" is Chris Stuckmann. Chis is actually an aspiring filmmaker and recently found distribution for his feature which he no only crowdfunded, but broke the record.

I was approached by a person who found my screenplay in some way. Probably my website but they haven't read it. They have legitimate credits in each of their roles but the company was presented as a casting service. The pitch was that investors won't look at a project without a name (talent or direc...

hey, if it’s all contracted out it could be ok. so with the talent… what’s this company’s fee and to get how many profile actors attached? Or are they casting it all? Do they present you with 3 choice...

Kickstarter is more successful in the tech sector now, and pre-purchasing...etc. I've spent dozens of hours speaking with crowdfunding companies. A lot is changing in this space. Mostly positive. The distribution of film is not what it used to be.. and for a short time it's changing into the power of the independent.
