Financing / Crowdfunding : Slated by Daniel Lyddon

I'm curious to find out people's opinions on using Slated.com for raising production finance. I've been a member for about six months and haven't managed to raise any funding. I've come close twice, but never managed to finalise a deal. Does anyone have any advice on how best to use the site? Many thanks.
