Introduce Yourself : An aspiring screenwriter from France by Prisca Sini

Prisca Sini

An aspiring screenwriter from France

Hello everyone!

My name is Prisca, and I’m from France. I discovered Stage 32 somewhat by chance, and I’m absolutely thrilled about it! Let me introduce myself briefly: I am deeply passionate about cinema, especially writing. Oddly enough, I took theater courses during my studies in the United States (which lasted a year) before moving to Paris, where I continued acting with the Actor Studio for a year and studied the Ivana Chubbuck method the following year. I am grateful for this acting knowledge, as it has greatly aided me in the creative process, helping me understand how to write strong characters and what actors need to perform their best.

As a self-taught screenwriter, I’ve educated myself through books and by reading countless scripts across various genres. Currently, I’m working on a TV series and two feature films. I’m fully aware that there is still much for me to learn in this field, which is why I am humbly seeking to refine my skills.

This year, with the help of my partner, who is a director, we managed to write, produce, and shoot a short film titled "SUMMONING," and I’m excited to share the trailer with you. Despite this small but rewarding experience, we have so much more to learn, and I’m confident that Stage 32 will be a great resource in this journey.

I look forward to engaging with the community here and, who knows, when I’m ready and my writing projects are further along, I hope to submit them to producers in the future. Wishing you all a wonderful day!

Laura Atanasov

Lovely to see a fellow self-taught screenwriter on here :) And the trailer looks awesome! I wish you the best of luck on your journey!

Prisca Sini

Thank you, Laura, for your kind words :) They mean a lot to me. I'm glad to meet a fellow screenwriter, and I wish you all the best in your career as well.

Prisca Sini

Thank you Maurice. I'm glad that you enjoyed the trailer for SUMMONING. Thanks also for all the information; I'll take a look at it!

Maurice Vaughan

You're welcome, Prisca Sini. How are your TV series and feature films coming along?

Thomas Yazar

Bienvenue, Prisca Sini ! Lot of production value in that short-movie, it almost looks like a promising feature! Good luck!

Evelyn Von Warnitz

A fantastic story way and great work! Congratulations!

Prisca Sini

Maurice Vaughan First, thank you for taking an interest in my projects :) Well, there's the short film 'SUMMONING,' which we hope to develop into a feature film in the futur. We're keeping our fingers crossed for that! Regarding the TV series, I have just finished writing the pilot episode and episode 2 (there are 9 episodes in total). The remaining episodes are currently in treatment form. And finally, there's a science fiction feature film (sci-fi horror) that is currently in treatment form as well.

Prisca Sini

Thomas Yazar Thank you for your feedback, it is greatly appreciated! We have poured our passion and heart into this project, and we hope to see it become a feature film one day.

Prisca Sini

Evelyn Von Warnitz Thank you for taking the time to watch the trailer and for your positive feedback. All these messages are very touching and encouraging.

Maurice Vaughan

You're welcome, Prisca Sini. Congratulations on finishing the pilot episode and episode 2! You probably only need to write a pilot episode since you're going to pitch your series. A series bible and a pitch deck can help when you pitch. A series bible is like a treatment but with more information about the series. A pitch deck is a short document that gets producers, directors, etc. interested in a project. A pitch deck usually has more visuals than text.

Also, you could post your projects in the logline section of your profile when they're ready. Producers, directors, etc. search profiles for projects.

Prisca Sini

Maurice Vaughan Thank you for all the details. I've started working on the series bible, but it’s still quite preliminary at this stage. To be honest, I hadn’t considered creating a pitch deck. I realize that I need to prepare thoroughly before pitching my project to producers.

Robert Sacchi

Trailer is nicely done.

Maurice Vaughan

You're welcome, Prisca Sini. Richard Lamb posted a link to his pitch deck in the Screenwriting Lounge and asked for feedback (www.stage32.com/lounge/screenwriting/Need-some-feedback-on-my-first-Pitc...). You could see how he formatted his pitch deck.

And here's a Stage 32 webinar about putting together a pitch deck: www.stage32.com/education/search?term=pitch+deck&h=how-to-design-and-bui...

And here are two websites where you can see pitch deck examples (TV and feature):
