Greetings! I'm new here. I'm a DoP working on shorts and features, commercials and multicamera broadcast events. Also trying to improve my skills as a producer.
Looking forward to discussions on cinematography. May be useful if you'd like to know about russian cine and broadcast production.

What are your favorite Russian movies?
Speaking about soviet classics I have to mention Tarkovsky (Mirror) and Daneliya (Kin-dza-dza).
Wha about more recent movies, I thinnk among my favourites are:
Generation P, Piter FM, The Geographer Drank His Globe Away, Ugly Swans, Dovlatov.
Feel free to tell me what do you tnink if you watch or have watched any of these.

It isn't Tolstoy, and certainly not a "clasic", but I really liked T-34.

I'm not a big fan of action movies, but it's cool, that you liked it! For me it's too propagandistic and I don't like actor Petrov, wo played the main character.
