Hello I'm a filmmaker from Des Moines, Iowa! Lived in Los Angeles for most of 2019. Have a couple short films that I wrote and produced under my belt and been on many music videos, short films, and commercials in LA and Des Moines. Right now I'm freelance producing for a ad agency in Des Moines and I'm working on getting some of my writing filmed and sending scripts to competitions. I write sci-fi, drama, action, and fantasy.
Right now I'm working on writing a web series and getting a short film I wrote ready to film hopefully by the fall. I like to tell stories and I've been wanting to become a writer since I was in grade school where I literally filled notebooks full of fun silly kid stories that I wrote and created on my own. I'm also trying to write my first feature length about the first World War. There is a lot of research that goes into that.
I look forward to collaborating with people hopefully close by and connecting people in the community and helping each other and giving each other advice.

Hi Jamie, welcome to Stage 32. It sounds like you've gained some wonderful experience along the way. I'm a native Iowan currently living in Wisconsin. I lived in Des Moines for four years and loved it! Gosh, so long ago! Anyway, good luck with your projects and finding locals with similar interests. You'll make nice connections here, too!

I have an idea for a documentary or a short film about a business in Des Moines. I am a theater/event producer but if you would be interested, and there is money to be made or a story to be told, I'd be interested in discussing it.

I'll keep some details to myself. but basically Humans can't live on the Earth and follows a group of people living in space. Working progress but leaving a lot of info/details out.
