Hi everyone! Second time in the introduce yourself weekends - they come and go so fast!
Since the last time I posted I have secured an agent for commercials work, though am still seeking an agent for my main acting work. I recently added a new scene to my showreel (and re-edited it) and have another scene in post-production at the moment. I am currently attached to a feature film in pre-production, and a friend of mine said I'd make a good Section 31 agent based on my new headshots. Here's hoping!
I have doubled down on my writing and have penned two short films - a comedy crime caper and a psychological thriller. I have a book half-written as part of a trilogy outline I have and the logline for the first book/film is on my profile now. And, as my brain fires ideas off at 100-a-minute, I have ideas to develop the shorts into a feature film and a TV series.
I have been doing some SA work in between as my first love is simply making movies and I am looking to get more involved in production and filmmaking in general this year and would love an opportunity to work in a production office to better understand the whole production cycle and utilise my additional skills in business and organisation.
Films I watched at the cinema recently: Dungeons & Dragons (I GM'd First Edition), John Wick 4 and Renfield.
Films I streamed recently: The Imitation Game, The Courier (catching up on my Cumberbatch).
That's all from me this time - see you in the comments :-)

Hey Edward Terry! Congratulations on all the success you've had! Are you planning to shoot either of your short films?

Congratulations on securing an agent for your commercials work, landing a role in the feature film, and your writing progress, Edward Terry!!!
I can see you as a Section 31 agent, and a "007" villain.
What's SA?

Emily J Thank you. Absolutely planning to film them. Just working out pre-production for the thriller - locations and licenses at the moment. The comedy film is almost ready too - it’s a simpler shoot as it’s only one location. It will be my first production so trying to dot as many i’s and cross as many T’s as I can.

Thanks Maurice Vaughan. I’d be happy with either role :) An SA is a supporting artist (aka background or extra). I get to play on the big sets and learn from the masters ;)
You're welcome, Edward Terry. Oh, SA is supporting artist. I thought it had to do with PA (production assistant) for a second. Like a junior PA or something. Haha And too bad there won't be any more "Mission: Impossible" movies after "Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part Two." You'd be great as an agent or villain in a "Mission: Impossible" movie.

Maurice Vaughan True on the MI front, though there are lots of spy/thriller/secret agent movies and TV shows out there, so happy to be part of one of these (a bit of Bond, The Gray Man, shadowy characters in Star Wars, Star Trek, etc). And ... I see the Section 31 movie just got greenlit - a few of my friends said I'd make a good Section 31 agent so that's one to aim for! Plus I do love Trek and sci-fi in general. My preferred role's typical MO is "the sly and witty gent with a concealed agenda."

I was gonna bring up the "Star Trek: Section 31" movie, Edward Terry. :D I think you'd be great in that movie. On either side. The Star Trek crew or the enemy.
""the sly and witty gent with a concealed agenda." I've had a movie idea about double agents, triple agents, quadruple agents, etc. If I ever write it -- and if I have any say in casting -- you'll definitely be in it.

Maurice Vaughan I had to think long and hard about this one. I've always yearned to play Dr Who, though I also love the Star Trek Universe. I have grown up with both shows influencing me since their early years, and while I also enjoy Star Wars, finding a place to call home in the Star Trek universe, I think, tips the scales. More about carving my own niche than following in the footsteps of giants. Ultimately, being a well-paid, working actor and writer is the goal, but I think Section 31 may be calling me! And Picard Season 3 looks like we're getting a return to a more solid Trek - the best season yet. Here's to the new generation of Treks, and the 'legacy' that Jack embodies

I can see you as Dr. Who, Edward Terry. I haven't seen the show, but I've been meaning to. Yeah, I think you should audition for "Section 31." Have you thought about auditioning for the new "X-Files"?

Maurice Vaughan Great suggestion!

And bonus, you'll have "The X-Files" theme song in your acting reel, Edward Terry. :D

I hope they keep the theme song! Always up for a good conspiracy Maurice Vaughan :) I'll start tracking it and see where it leads!

I'm inspired by your productivity. I'm finding it hard to stay motivated. How do you do it?

Hi Marcia McNair. Thanks for the props. I also have periods of little or no motivation and it's a totally normal part of the human condition. Once I started to accept this and not beat myself up for it, it became easier to get back on with my plans - or make plans to fix the things that triggered the demotivation

Marcia McNair Hmm. Stage32 cut off the rest of my reply. I guess it doesn't like emojis in the comments. I read a quote today that said: "It is a shame to sit and do nothing while there are people believing in you" and that's going on a Post-it somewhere visible. Though, looking at your profile you seem quite the achiever too!
