The latest installment of my weekly podcast is Episode 356 of "Now Hear This Entertainment," BUT, it just also happens to be the 500th all-time podcast episode that I've hosted since starting in February 2014, thanks to another weekly show that I also do, plus a now-defunct podcast that TASCAM had hired me to do for them (ended Feb. 2019).
It's nice to see all the congratulatory remarks that people have been posting on some of my different social media platforms, but with something like this also comes questions. "What was your favorite interview?" "I want to start a podcast. Can I? Should I?" And, of course, "Wow, almost seven years of podcasting. 500 episodes. What has been the key?" And to that last one I tell and encourage you all -- just like they say in the world of YouTube -- consistency is the key. A new episode has been delivered on-time every week (of both shows that I currently do).
I always remember that I have a verbal contract with my audience that (in the case of "Now Hear This Entertainment") I will deliver them a new episode every Wednesday.
So friends, don't overthink it. Set a schedule and stick to it.

Bruce! This is awesome advice. As a podcast producer of four years, I can't agree more. I just recently launched a new show and my only goal to this point is to be consistent. Thank you for this reminder!

Absolutely, Melanie Scroggins. I won't even get into the whole, "Oh, and then produce great content," but you get it. ;-)

wow, 500 podcasts! Congrats! Folks laughed at Joe Rogan's early podcast days and he's laughing now at haters with $50M+ selling his library!
Haha, good point. Thank you Dan MaxXx !

Thank you very much, Karen "Kay" Ross ! Indeed, it's good that we put things down on paper so we can see where we're going, but it's another thing to take action on those plans, which will ultimately lead us to where we want to go. ;-)
