I've been noodling around with my YouTube Channel - I've owned it for over ten years and never really did anything with it.
This has nothing to do with acting. More about creation.
I do a lot of travel and lifestyle photography and am not keen on being the focal point of a project, so I think I've developed a way to talk about travel and my photography without being on camera so much. I enjoy writing the scripts and doing the narration - and I think the most recent video I did will give me a push in the right direction.
I know that YouTubes are often quick and dirty how-to videos, but I thought maybe YouTube would be a good place to experiment for awhile, and promote myself a little. I'd like to create videos that are not so much how-to, not so much selling my experience in a place, but rather, going a little deeper into my travels.
Anyway, this is my latest video that I posted last week. From a Thanksgiving trip to Yosemite.
I have limited facilities, so all of the videos I'm posting are created with an iPhone X and iMovie on the iPhone. I'm getting a lot of positive feedback from friends, but we all get that, don't we, and would like to hear from people who don't know me - particularly about scripting and voiceover. Feel free to comment here or comment over on YouTube.
Thanks!
I'm thinking so, Mark. Also a good place to experiment.
I'm getting a lot of positive comments on my voice with the narration. I've often thought about doing voiceover, but have struggled with my lack of perfection. But people seem to like it.
