Pleased to share the news that my screenplay The Bermuda Shipwreck qualifies as a Quarterfinalist, Stage 32 Family-Friendly Screenwriting Contest 2021.
Am also going to take advantage of this gratifying news to share something I learned over the last year. When asking your Beta readers for feedback, be absolutely sure to let them know you want to know how to improve the story YOU are trying to tell. You are NOT asking them to tell you how they would write their story. So if you're writing a coming of age thriller, you don't want to hear how it could be transformed into a psychological drama about a secondary character or a science fiction narrative set on Mars in 2053. Anything other than your request takes you down rabbit holes. Cheers.

So true on the rabbit hole! Yes, ask exactly for what you want! Same with discussing a work with anyone... always set your intention and make sure there is agreement between all parties to focus on the work at hand.
