Go for the Jugular

Looking for ways to make your stories tighter and more readable? Quit beating around the bush and go for the jugular! http://sett.com/atlantascreenwriter/go-for-the-jugular

Jean-Pierre Chapoteau

Good article. Start a scene late, then end it early.

Charles Thomas

Shawn Speake

That's a good look, Charles. Thank you

Richard Toscan

And the same goes for the entire plot: start late in the story and end with the briefest possible resolution after the climax. The advice we sometimes see rattling around the internet that Act I is exposition is a sure recipe for a rewrite -- probably by a jobbed-in screenwriter.
