I was cleaning the church late Sunday afternoon, and for some reason felt very wary - several break-ins in churches in the area. I turned suddenly and saw the tail end of a long white robe disappear through the closed door. After that, all was well.

The other incident. I was driving home through rush hour traffic on 6 lanes merging and exiting. I passed a big rig and turned my blinker on to move in front of him. The car would not move over into that lane. Suddenly a large SUV swerved in front of the rig causing him to break hard and his trailer begin to swing. He got it under control. I glanced toward the SUV which was swinging toward me. My sight was suddenly obscured by a flowing white robe. The SUV lurched away and we all continued safely.

One time I saw a little girl in a dress floating down the stairs, Anthony Murphy. It was one of those 1800s dresses or something. I ran out of the apartment. Haha

Drama writer. While in college, had just read a passage from A.E. Hotchner's "Papa Hemingway" where he described his first meeting with Ernest in Cuba. He was wearing a belt held together with a buckle taking from the uniform of a dead German soldier during WW2 inscribed "Got Mitt Uns". A day or so later, dug the exact same buckle nearly covered with dirt out of the ground in an unlikely location in Alabama while working a part time job. Had to sit down and catch my breath.

I have had several supernatural experiences throughout my life. This happened in 2020. I saw a demon, and I'm sure most reading this will think I'm delusional or lying, but it's what I saw. The day before I saw it, I think I glimpsed it out of the corner of my eye while walking across the bedroom to the master bathroom but dismissed it. When I saw it the next day, did my mind fool me? I don't know. It was a subjective experience, so you never really know, but this is what happened. It was the middle of the day, and I was sitting in our bedroom in a house we flipped, and a portal opened in the wall where sitting perfectly still in a chair was a dog-headed demon with a human body and an upright spine, his right profile facing me. Confused, I stared, trying to figure out what I was experiencing, when it turned its face towards me and looked me right in the eyes, and it was menacing. I could feel its evil power. It had large, strange eyes, like they were transparent and outlined for a sketching. I'm not religious and I don't go to church, but I said, "In Jesus' name," and its form, while maintaining its bodily shape immediately turned to static within its shape but didn't completely go away, so I repeated "In Jesus' name," and at that exact moment it, in anger--I could feel it's anger--violently disenigrated, as a transformer blew up on a telephone pole outside our house. My two kids and I later drove up the road and saw the crew replacing the transformer. My daughter's friend even heard the transformer blow from across town. Did I have a brief psychotic experience? I don't know, but I do not suffer from psychosis. Was the transformer blowing at the exact moment I uttered those words for the second time a coincidence that exactly coincided with that strange experience? I don't know. But that's what happened, and I swear it on my children's lives.

Geoff Hall I have an old friend whose mother died when he was a boy. He swears that he had a shared death experience, when his deceased grandmother's spirit(he said she looked solid as any person)entered through a wall of his dying mother's bedroom, called his mother by her name, and told her that she had come to take her with her. He says his grandmother took his mother by the hand and they walked back through the wall together. His mother's body did die during his shared death experience.

I believe you, Anthony Murphy. One time people were listening to a Lil Wayne song in my apartment, and it felt like my head was gonna explode. That never happened before. I went outside, and the feeling in my head went away. I stopped listening to his music after that.

More on the spiritual side of things, rather than the supernatural. Call it an epiphany, an enlightenment. It happens a lot in my case. I keep learning.

I think the song was "Lollipop," @John Murphy. It was one of the worst experiences I've ever had.

The day after my college graduation, I saw my ex-husband on the street---- heroin induced drug psychosis made him a street person. I told my friend, Gina, who was driving to turn around, I wanted to give him some money after we spotted him on the street. She did, and I put $10.00 bill in his hand. He said, "Thank-you, Jenean." The next day I got a phone call from the San Diego coroner's office, and the woman told me they had been trying to track me down for 6 weeks....he had committed suicide by jumping off the Balboa Park bridge, and was listed as a John Doe. The only I.D. lead he/they had had was a picture of my three year old daughter with her name and age printed on the back. (She was 11 when this happened.) I told her I'd just seen him, and spoken to him. She said, "So many of our John Does are never identified and we never find the families. But I saw that picture of that little girl, and knew we had to find his family." I went to the police station to make sure/how he'd died. The detective handed me his file and let me read every contact they'd had with him over the course of eight years. The last entry was an arraignment on three counts of arson.The coroner's office called again, and told me his cornea's were harvested, implanted, and that two people had regained sight because of him; they'd finally cremated him, and would I notify his family in New Jersey? I bought a copper urn, picked up his ashes, and mailed them to his sister----who told his devout Catholic mother he had drowned, so he could be buried by the Church. He was 33 years old. Like Jesus.

Jenean McBrearty I have a brother that's been an addict for years, so I have some idea what you went through. So you saw and spoke to him six weeks after his death?

I listened to the back tracking, @John Murphy. It was before I had the experience where my head felt like it was gonna explode.

John Murphy: Yes, he was in the coroner's vault, too, when I returned from getting my cap and gown from the school the Friday before graduation .... he was sitting on the stairs to my upstairs apartment. We spoke then, also. I told him I didn't have any money to give him. I was in the process of moving from a neighborhood close to S.D.S.U. to my friend Gina's apartment at least 8 freeway miles away. She and her husband were moving to Germany for grad school, and I took over their apartment. Gina and I saw him about three blocks from that apartment.

Yes! My grandparents' house was insanely haunted. They were the most intense, no-nonsense people - but when it came to ghosts, they were so blase about them being real. My grandfather (being a church leader for the LDS in Missouri) was actually called to a lot of old ladies' houses to "purge their dead husbands' spirits" after they passed. He had some fun stories

I don't. But once I wrote and published a non fiction book about it: 'People and Powers'. I did research and interviewed a lot of people and since then I know: there's a lot going on out there. It's still only available in Dutch by the way.

Honestly, I wouldn't know where to start. My life is hard enough for people to believe without me actively broadcasting experiences which I know other people are unlikely to accept, and it's enough for me to say that I've stopped questioning the validity of anyone else's experiences, perceptions, or claims.

Anthony Murphy Get that demon into your horror screenplay when you write it! As some very belated research (I'd finished the script), I went on a ghost hunt last month, didn't experience anything myself, but was interesting to see the equipment in use etc. plus now I can add a few little bits to the script from that experience. I'm open-minded on the topic, we don't fully understand how our brains work.

Only talking about supernatural as being paranormal, I think that there is one paranormal ability that we all delute ourselves - because of ego - we're the only one to 'really' have; the sence of WHAT'S going to HAPPEN the NEXT FEW SECONDS, WHO'S going to WIN WHAT, a NUMBER, SOMEONE SAYING SOMETHING etc. Most of the times not paranormal AT ALL, EASiLY EXPLAINABLE through LOGIC. But sometimes this PREMONITION IS remarcable! Those special times, if you think of it, you JUST KNEW -- As if it was 'GIVEN' to you! Did not TRY to know. That never works! Still, to be honest, we're FAR TOO PRIMITIVE to even be on the 'edge' of being paranormal...

So, the nurd said to the geek "You know why people can predict things that are impossible to predict?" The nurd answered " Because they're on drugs"

Mark Giacomin Mark, I hear what you are saying about using that demon in my story, but I don't think I could use that experience in the horror I'm writing. I was hesitant to write about it here, but I'm glad I did, for there are some interesting stories shared by others in this post, but using that very real personal experience in fiction somehow feels wrong, although it might not in another story with a different context.

Jenean McBrearty Your experience is incredible. So you knew his body was dead n the morgue when you spoke to him on the stairway and later with your friend saw him three blocks away from the apartment?

Rented a lake house in CA years ago. Noticed some bizarre activity....Lit Shadows moving past the windows I thought were just headlights. Then a Miniature ceramic cow we had on our stove flew off and hit me. At one point a had a business trip for three days and my wife sad she felt very strange in the house when I was gone. Me moved out after our one year lease was up (Bought a house) We then realized there was a cemetery a few blocks away. Before we moved we heard other stories from folks in the area.

Maurice Vaughan Was it an old house where you saw the little girl?

Horror/Sci-Fi writer here: I grew up in a haunted house and I worked in a haunted theatre where someone died in a fire in the 1920's (I think). I never had an experience in the theatre but I certainly did at my childhood home. The most dramatic was probably when I had an actual physical object disappear from the wall. It was a poster that was just stuck up with some tape and when it fell behind my bed and I went to get it it was completely gone. I never found it.

Has anyone, besides Mike, LOL, had an out of body experience? I had one. It was spontaneous, not deliberate, although some people supposedly induce OBE's. It was in 2010, when I laid down beside my wife, who was sleeping with her back to me. I'm an insomniac and was fully awake with open eyes, when I felt what I assume was my soul being pulled out from below my navel. In Chinese medicine and martial arts, this area three fingers below the navel is referred to as the tan tien, and is known as the body's center of energy or chi. As this "life force" was being slowly pulled out of me, and I don't mean to be gross, but it felt like snot being pulled from a nostril, so it felt viscous, and was pulled up at exactly a 45 degree angle to where the wall and ceiling met. When I sensed that the act was almost complete, I became very frightened, because I thought that once my soul or spirit or whatever it was had completely exited my body, that it wouldn't be able to return so my body would die. I tried to call out for my wife but I couldn't at first. Finally I was able to shout and the experience ended as my wife awoke concerned about me. She could see how shook up I was. Afterwards I read of OBE's and always regretted not letting the experience complete itself. I assume my consciousness would have manifested at the ceiling, like so many who have had NDE's describe.

Phil Stubbs I know exactly what you mean. I made this post but then hesitated a day before publishing it, because such experiences are not for entertainment—though entertaining they may be—and I don't care whether others believe what I've stated, for I'm not even sure if I believe what I experienced, even though, like your ghosts, I know in a subjective sense that I truly did experience them.

@Jack Teague I love Papa Hemingway. I once had a little dog that I named Ernest and a fluffy black cat named Flannery, for two of my favorite writers. Your belt buckle is a wild experience. I had a similar one. In my 20s, I had just started dating a woman, and we were driving around one weekend killing time when I told her a story of my deceased grandfather, who I was very close to. When I was a toddler, I was walking with him in a small town downtown when we passed a liquor store that had an Old Crow statue in it's front window. I wanted the bird dressed in a tux statue so badly, so my grandfather went into the store to purchase it for me, but the store owner told him it wasn't for sale. My grandfather was so persistent, the store owner finally relented and sold it to my grandfather, who died when I was very young, and the Old Crow got lost somewhere through the years. I had just told the young woman that I was dating this story when we stopped at a little roadside antique store. We walked into the store and an Old Crow statue, just like the one I had as a child, stood on the raised front counter looking down at us the moment we entered. I had never been in the store before, which I'm sure the young woman didn't believe when I told her. I suppose it was my grandfather communicating with me, or perhaps just a strange coincidence. Who knows?.

John Murphy: I am intrigued by your experience with a dog-headed demon, and your description of a "portal." I believe that these portals exist, and quantum physics provides evidence. Moreover, I believe that people who create (writers, artists, surgeons, etc.) have an affinity for interdimensionality, and will have experiences they can't discount. Others may poo-poo such happenings, but I only report on them. BTW I don't smoke, drink, never have done drugs, and eat little meat ... perhaps I should start? :) Not to be too personal ... what is the day/month/time of your birth? Mine is: 9/Feb/3 a.m. Yes. That's a wild story, @John Murphy. It reminds me of Beyoncé being possessed by a demon when she performs on stage. She went on a talk show and admitted it.

Jenean McBrearty I share your interdimensional beliefs. It's all that makes sense to me regarding religion, philosophy, reincarnation, multi-dimensions, alien visitation on earth, and NDE experiences that provide glimpses of other realms that discount false concepts of death. My birth month and day were 08/03 and the time of birth was 12:28 AM; it was a Thursday.

I was sleeping over at my friend's cabin one time. It was me, her and one other friend, who was sleeping. The cabin was very small, one room and two beds. We were taking pictures on my phone that I had placed against a window. I'd put the phone on a timer so we could both be in the photo. But before I could start the timer, my friend's hair got caught in her hairband or ponytail, whatever you want to call it. So, I went to help her, and as we were untangling her hair, we heard footsteps outside, coming around the cabin. There was like gravel pathway all-round the cabin, so the footsteps were loud. The door was open because it was hot inside. We both jumped on our friend who was sleeping on the bed and screamed. Later, my friend told me her uncle who died not so long ago before that, loved to visit them at the cabin. I only wish I had started filming a video instead of taking a photo.... But also, could've been a very heavy cat hahah.

Anthony Murphy Oh yeah. Too many to list here. Another really significant one that my entire family experienced though was something that used to open the front door and sound like someone coming home. Anytime it happened it would sound like whoever was out coming back in like if I was home but my dad was gone then me and my mom would hear him come home or if I was out then my parents would hear me come home only for me to return hours later. I recently found a TikTok video of someone who had this same experience with something that sounded like his daughter too so it seems to happen a lot. Now I live in a place that is in between two civil war era cemeteries so...we'll see what happens here lol.

20 years ago six coat hangers hung on bedroom door rattled intensely for about a minute. My friend in kitchen shouted shut up. LOL I was nowhere near them & all windows closed do definitely no draft. At the time I was angry & a friend who studied science said in rare cases electricity can travel. (Like when combs sometimes crackle when run them thru hair.) Also had experiences of dreams coming true & been in places where I felt intense presences. The last time my friends felt it too & got scared but only the living bother me. I once heard warning voices & it turned out someone had broken into my inner hall & been standing right outside my locked bedroom door. Unsure if believe in ghosts but there is more in the unseen than the visible, our dense physical form has limitations & a whole load of unknowns travel at the speed of light in the surrounding ether.

I HAVE HAD A FEW SITUATIONS like many spoken here... sad to say... one of the scenes in my movie of MY LIFE STORY... is having to do with the very dark side as mentioned in one of the messages here from John Murphy...

AND I am sure that some of my OWN family members will have a hard time believing it... because it IS very dark...and YET, there is NO DOUBT that it was the evil that some of us know IS IN THIS WORLD... I even feel that MANY WILL THINK THAT it was added by Hollywood just for ratings... THOUGH the TRUTH IS, IT IS WHAT REALLY HAPPENED>

THIS INCIDENT of EVIL showed up when I was in the FIRST PRIVATE MENTAL HOSPITAL - and again, very clear that it wasn't mental illness BUT THE DARK paranormal happening... BUT VERY DARK.

AND I have had another experience at 9 years old with a HOLY ONE... that I prefer not to say until the MOVIE comes out... it was very sacred...and the same year that I heard John Lennon's song IMAGINE in my room on my little radio... and I STOPPED IN MY TRACKS and COULD NOT MOVE until the song ended... NO KIDDING!! It was like I was in a trance or TRIGGERED when the music began, and deeply became ingrained, branded into my SOUL.

AND what is really strange IS... the first "BREAK" at 19 years old... in that FIRST MENTAL HOSPITAL... is ALSO when a young boy with a boom box on his shoulder was walking around the hallways, shouting HOW JOHN LENNON WAS JUST SHOT AND KILLED... and I was ONLY in that place for a 2 week time...

SURELY DO NOT BELIEVE IN ANY COINCIDENTS!!

There was ONLY one of these paranormal events... which I had seen a VERY TALL SHADOW energy that was like a large stack of dark smoggy smoke... and it was moving... I felt deeply that is was like the GRIM REEPER... because the girl I was staying with was VERY ILL, because of her drinking and taking prescriptions medications... LOTS OF IT... and was near death. There was an event that preceded this dark shadow having to do with this girl... that I feel was WHY it showed up.

SO LOVE THIS THREAD!!!!

AND SHE calmly put her arm around my shoulder and we slowly backed up and sat down on the bed... as she talked softly to me, I COULD FEEL HER KINDNESS AND CARINGNESS... she was my ANGEL that day. I am sure she is passed now. THIS was in 1981.

Anthony Murphy The one I remember most vividly is from a few years ago. In my dream, I saw my father in a hospital bed. Two days after I saw the dream, my dad did not feel well and subsequently became so ill, he had to be hospitalized (he has since recovered and has been better). But I've seen dreams about minor things that have come to pass as well. Now only if I could just dream about finishing my screenplay.

Sherri ZImmerman Have you adapted your book into a screenplay? Do you have a producer interested?

At this moment John, there is ONE that has stepped forward and I have spoken with over a week ago and am looking at another to possibly work with the first producer since she has great wisdom on THE CHAKRAS. (which I am just now releasing MY CHAKRA GAMES into the world - made of real 1/2"wood and genuine crystals)... I have not yet fully committed as of yet... I'm sending you a email...

Abeeha Alam That's amazing about your father. Good luck on finishing your screenplay. I'm writing a horror now yet would much rather be doing another drama, but horror is what Hollywood is buying, so...I was going to do a vampire tale, but I kept imagining the vampire's victims wearing Hartz flea and tick collars instead of garlic and a crucifix to ward off the preternatural-human-tick, so I've recently replotted my story around an ancient Irish myth that will be told as a contemporary story.

I was in the medical field for 23 years and sad to say, there is SO MUCH that field needs to learn about dignity and respect. ONE DAY soon, is coming, where many who are ready to go, can just go legally. BUT a great thank you for that... we our family, are just wanting to her to be WHERE SHE WANTS TO BE, but apparently its not TIME YET, or it would BE different.

AND when my mother began in 1978, there were ONLY 2-3 at that time - fully OPEN for adoptees to GET, RECIEVE theirs...

shocking that my mother is ready to PASS and STILL this has NOT BEEN CHANGED... wow!! Pretty sad. BUT SHE SURELY GOT THE BALL ROLLING!! Walking on Washington DC WHITE HOUSE.... with MANY FOLLOWING BEHIND PICKETING WITH SIGNS.... (there is a video of THIS) - HER SPEECH THERE AND MANY OTHER PLACES OF THIS COUNTRY... AND worked on getting a petition signed into CONGRESS...

BUT as usual, money becomes a big factor besides many FEARS CONNECTED TO THIS>.. the FBI followed our family for 5 years (mostly my mother and I)... before she was imprisoned for her work, then 60 Minutes Leslie Stahl went an interviewed her there in Mariana... so... she DID GET SOME GOOD MEDIA OUT OF IT... thanks to 60 MINUTES AND LESLIE STAHL.

A MOVIE ANYONE?? has everything in it... action, human rights, perseverance, DEEP PAIN YET GREAT LOVE AND DUTY by a woman (and a family) who KNEW WHAT WAS RIGHT and NEEDED CHANGING FOR ALL INDIVIDUALS... SUCCESS AFTER INSANITY.

I had a HORRIBLE incident while half asleep that scared the HELL out of me...

I could NOT move NOT ONE muscle as I became fully conscious but also KNEW INSTANTLY by what I FELT - a ?? just above my whole body... length-wise except my head... that moved up & down...

I TRIED TO SCREAM but could not until finally a very loud screech I was able to do, and my friend came flying in the room and once my arm was touched by my friend, it vanished... THIS INVISIBLE THING SO... there would have to be some deeper questions asked about your experience... one would be HOW OFTEN DOES IT HAPPEN.. IS IT THE SAME EACH TIME IF MORE THAN ONCE, and a few other more on a spiritual line...

There are incidents where someone experiences what YOU DO, but there is a possibility that it is a entity that is created that - since those who pass can also take over the BODY NOT just demons... and it doesn't have to be as dramatic as mine above... I WAS TOLD by someone who was very much into UFO, aliens which I heavily believe in also... THAT HE FELT IT WAS a Alien (mostly like one of the Greys - that are more disturbing)... SO not sure yet on it.

YOURS could also be connected to the emotional stress you mention HOWEVER< keep in mind, THAT IS WHEN THE more negative dark energies DO have the MORE advantage in that case... so KEEP YOUR SPIRITS UP... and watch THE DEAD FILES with Amy & Steve to really learn more!! Especially if YOU ARE AN EMPATH... need to learn to protect your energy...

Quite a few stories on how I went to the ER in horrid pain, un-describe-able and ALL TESTS showed nothing.. i FELT SO FOOLISH GOING TO THE ER... but when released, I ALMOST COULD NOT DRIVE HOME!! THEN my personal amazing "Channel" ELLEN gave a clear view of one of past lives AND once it was known of what had happened (that was a brutal attack), it disappeared as quick as it came. SOME might feel this kind of information is NOT REPUTABLE,

THIS GOES FOR the traditional medicine as well, that we all have struggled with for close to a century NOW.... THERE IS FAR MORE THAN WHAT WE HAVE BBEN TOLD TO BELIEVE FOR TOO MANY DECADES IN THIS WORLD>.. and we ALL KNOW IT DOWN DEEP.
