Really excited to share this collaboration we worked on with screenwriter and author, Dylan Park (All Rise, 68 Whiskey). He has a TV series being marketed. Originally was going to shoot a POC short of the first ten pages. Instead, worked with us.
We sprinkled our Sound of Scripts fairy dust and this was the final result. The best part? He was/is thrilled to bits! And that is what matters the most.
Personally, this is an important validation behind why we started SoS; To give writers something else to augment their pitch packages. So far, the response has been awesome. We have struck up some partnerships with the likes of Script Rev, and various film festivals to help elevate great stories.
Sadly, managers, agents, producers don't have enough time in the day to read every script sent their way. Barely have time to read a two-page synopsis!! And that even applies to chaps like Dylan, who is already well and truly thriving as a screenwriter in the TV/film industry. Who intends to leverage this in further discussions he's having with various producers, directors, etc. We hope it lands somewhere as the entire story is compelling and fascinating.
