
“The Recess” directed by Navid Nikkhah Azad has received nomination from the 2022 edition of the Student World Impact Film Festival (SWIFF), which takes place in the US from November 13-18.
The Student World Impact Film Festival (SWIFF) focuses on elevating the voices of young storytellers (especially from historically marginalized races, backgrounds, and cultures) to give them the opportunity to share their stories with the world.
The Spanish-Iranian short drama “The Recess” has been officially selected in 147 international film festivals including FIAPF-accredited, Goya Awards qualifying festivals and Academy Award® qualifying festival around the world and has won 24 awards.
Directed by Navid Nikkhah Azad and produced by Navid Nikkhah Azad, Mohammad Shahverdy and the Spanish producer Delia Guerra Parra, “The Recess” brings the story of the self-immolated Sahar Khodayari (Iranian Blue Girl) to life.
