A teenager learns about love, loss and compassion from his big-hearted, fun-loving closeted aunt. Eager to play baseball with his Jersey City teammates, teenage Dominick gets intercepted by his strict Italian mother who makes him deliver a tray of pasta to his Aunt Sadie before the game. Aunt Sadie, a neighborhood fixture who lives with her "friend" Connie, sends Dominick to the store for soda and cigarettes. When he returns, Dominick catches a glimpse of Aunt Sadie and Connie slow dancing, and for the first time, he realizes the two women are more than just roommates. They’re in love. Based on Dominick Varsalone's memoir My Journey As An AIDS Nurse. Screenplay by Sally Deering; Directed by Sally Deering.
