ABOUT THIS VIDEO Here is my entry. Unfortunately, my submission did not make it to the finalists. I am still happy with what I came up with. I open the piece with a spooky modern sound design approach but transition it into an the old school style of music. It gets loud and bombastic with intense brass, drums, cymbal crashes and chorus. I can only describe it as a mix of Chris Young's Hellbound: Hellraiser 2 music and the bombastic battle horn sounds from the opening sequence in Bram Stoker's Dracula. ABOUT THE CONTEST Best Services had already launched a new VST (Virtual Instruments) Package called "The Orchestra". The product trailer was provided in which to compose a track to for the contest. The artistic direction was left open to individual composer tastes and approaches.
