Well, it's no secret that there are A-LOOOOOOT of remakes... half of which don't deliver... but right now as I make this post... Doctor Sleep is currently in theaters. There's a new Dracula Netflix series coming. A reboot of Scream has been announced. A Black Christmas remake trailer is making the rounds right now on Youtube... and a remake of The Invisible Man is also on the horizon. We're also getting a remake of The Craft, Candyman, and there is The Conjuring 3, A Quiet Place 2, and Halloween Kills also scheduled for 2020+ ...But we're also in a strange place as an industry right now... because right now as I make this post... there are 5 high-profile theatrical releases currently in theaters right now that are all underperforming at the worldwide box office.. and those movies are - Terminator Dark Fate. Charlie's Angels. Midway. Doctor Sleep. Motherless Brooklyn. And then we have a little film called... Joker... ONE... BILLION... DOLLARS... later... This is a very eerie coincidence for myself when I look at this and then look at and reflect on what I wrote. And now with Game Of Thrones having come to an end and seeing what Blumhouse accomplished with Halloween and what Warner Bros accomplished with "It" and "It: Chapter 2" (although that is Stephen King) I think the timing could be perfect for my script... for this concept and for this story...
