There are, apparently, some templates that can be used, but you're probably better off with one of the screenwriting software programs out there. Some are free, others not. Some have limited versions that are free. You can see a list here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_screenwriting_software I used Celtx until I got Final Draft, which I like, although Celtx was fine, too. Good luck finding something that's compatible with the way you write.
Gary, everyone will have their fave but their are a couple of free ones CeltX and WritersDuet both have free vesions and most of the others have trials so you can check out which you like and suits you best.
Try a template for the first draft of a first screenplay. It will be a chore, but doable. If by the time you get to page 90 or 100 and are certain you've been bitten by the screenwriting bug, then it's time for professional screenwriting software. Attempting to do major revisions/edits on a first draft screenplay using Word templates will probably drive you crazy. If you spring for the software, Final Draft has nosed its way into being something close to the industry standard now.
