Thanks for all your good vibes. I've been taking seriously the suggestions by the executives given after a pitch. It helps. You know what you are saying, but is that what they are hearing? Think about a change in presentation - more casual, like you are talking to a buddy, giving the high points. I'm so in love with a few scenes and I give them as an example, but then the big picture shrinks.
This is outstanding, Barbara. And your point about a more casual presentation is spot on. Creatives sometimes forget - the executive truly wants to like you! They want you to win them over! They are listening because they want to work with good people who have great material. It's paramount that they feel a piece of you in the pitch. Why is the story important to you? What compelled you to write it? The more at ease you are, the more at ease they will be as well. Wishing you all the best with the read!
Barbara: Thanks for sharing your thoughts and experience on pitching. I'll be rooting for you. You are one of us. RB: Always insightful and positive. Thanks.
Thanks again, guys. I've clicked on your Stage 32 pages and am amazed at all the talent you have. You won't know failure, if you go to your grave still trying. Even the grave won't stop me - I'm hoping for posthumous recognition.
That's awesome Barbara. Congratulations. Please keep us informed if there is more development.
Congrats, Barbara. Go make us proud!
Congratulations, Barbara. It sounds wonderful!
