Screenwriting : Roadmap Writers by Don Zorbas

Roadmap Writers

Hi folks, Have you heard of this??? If so what are your thoughts? Thanks

Jeff Walesa

I've heard great things. It's run by Joey Tuccio who use to be with Stage 32.

Travis Sharp

I have found it to be helpful and trustworthy. Joey seems very positive and willing to help.

Kevin J. Howard

I pitched with Roadmap last month and two of my screenplays were requested. Roadmap is a good place to find producers, agents and directors. Joey is always very helpful. Best of luck!!

Doug Nelson

It looks interesting, but I don't know enough about it yet - I'll probably give it a try.

Elisabeth Meier

Joey is fantastic, always supports the writers and helps you when you're pitching for the first time. Really recommendable.

Izzibella Beau

I love Roadmap writers. I belong to the Premier Month over there and find it quite useful. For $59 you get four webinars, 6-7 Q&A sessions, three written pitches, and a logline analysis. It's another great resource, like here at S32, to get more connections and improve on your screenwriting.

Beth Fox Heisinger

That $59 is some trial promotion they are currently running with PAGE, right Izzibella? A one time thing? Or is that some new level of membership? They are based on a monthly fee. The top tier membership is $300 a month. But you do get a lot of service for that price. You must interview for their intensive program, I believe? However I believe you can also purchase various services independent of membership, like pitch sessions, webinars, consultations... The membership cost is too high for me. And I'm not a sheep. LOL! So... But I do know others have had good experiences. Joey is great. Very supportive of writers. :)

Beth Fox Heisinger

Well, I've done "okay" without spending too much. Lots of free options too. Connections, networking, etc. ;)

Dan Guardino

I spent about $20 on a book.

Barry A.A. Dillinger

Yup, $11 on a book back in 1989. Taught me about teleplays, screenplays and plays. Great book. Referred to it for years until I got my first job. Definitely paid for itself...lol.

Travis Sharp

Does anybody else read Dan M's post with the voice of Steven Wright?

Eric Christopherson

No, Chelsea Handler.

Doug Nelson

CJ - I know that you've got your own site; so is that just trash talk or what? If you have some "serious reservations" - please spit 'em out. Thanx.

Anthony Cawood

Good array of services, not free of course, but Joey T's involvement is a seal of quality imho

Danny Manus

no comment. but to post this thread on S32 is probably a bit inappropriate.

Travis Sharp

If we are all people striving to help each other in a supportive environment then I would think the question is not inappropriate. especially since many are active on both sites. We have many threads about virtualpitchfest, Blacklist, etc...

Beth Fox Heisinger

The original poster's question is just an honest, straightforward inquiry—curious about a website and any member's possible experience with its services. This post is similar to the many others we have seen over the years regarding other sites. With that in mind, with all due respect, and in the spirit of good intentions, perhaps it's best to leave it at that. :)

Travis Sharp

Censorship!!! Anarchy!!!! Lol.

Don Zorbas

Thank you everyone!

Elisabeth Meier

Just to be fair: You don't have to be a member if you want to pitch at Roadmapwriters and the pitch session costs only $25 which is affordable.

Beth Fox Heisinger

Yup, as previously said... You can purchase services independent of monthly membership: pitches, webinars, and consultations. :)

Roxanne Paukner

Danny, one of the things I appreciate about S32 is that posts about/from other resources are not censored! Yay!

Thanks, Stage 32!!! That's one reason you're my favorite.

Del Harvey

Agree with Roxanne above. If a site is truly helpful it should allow its members to communicate openly.
