I know this is an amateur move, but I’m entering a screenwriting contest and I need to put my WGA Registration code on my screenplay. Since I have never added my WGA reference number to my script, where does it go? In the lower left hand or right hand corner? Or under my name?
Hi Jaclyn: Typically (although there are no definitive rules), you can indicate it on the left (left justified) with your name and contact info. I usually make it the last line:
e.g:
NAME
ADDRESS
PHONE
EMAIL
WGA#
Hope this helps!

I would put it under my name, but really you're not going to get demerits if you put it there, or with contact information.

Jaclyn-
Most working writers that I've read aren't posting their WGA or Copywright on the page in 2017, but the few who do, or of the contest is requesting it, I would suggest you use:
Registered at www.wga.org
OR
Registered at www.wga.org
Copyright XXXX
Library of Congress, Copyright Office
In the center like Gilberto said.
Also...I don't think I've read a sold or repped script with a number in years. I'm just one opinion, and these things are so objective.
Best of luck in the competish Jaclyn!
