Yesterday I spent the day driving around Hollywood and every time I go there it reinforces my belief that I want to be a screenwriter. It gives me more fuel to carry on with my writing. It’s an amazing motivation driving by the studio lots and seeing the cars drive in thinking “I want that to be me”. I love writing. I love the written word and telling a story that hopefully one day will be transformed to the big screen. What do you do for motivation?

Good on you Bill Lonero. Keeping a dream in the face of bitter people that haven’t made, and therefore believe no one else will, is very difficult.

For me, it's the story: the thematic premise (they "why"), the characters (the "who") and the progression of events (the "how"). I'm not driven by fame or money - that all would be icing. It's all about telling a story that I would want to read/watch.

Bill man, you have no idea how just reading that you're driving around Hollywood hits me deep. Just imagining it inspires me so much. I want to be there too, bro. For me, I find motivation in just pouring out these stories. It's so exciting bringing a story from your mind to life, and taking it to the world to try make something of it.

Bill, for me it's just being able to tell a story and put it on paper and/or into a computer hard drive. I just find it fun to work with a story and shape it until it's 100% presentable.

Funny you should mention inspiration comes to you from driving around. I get some of my best ideas that way too but in more of an internal way than from what I see around me. Hold that dream and it'll become a wonderful reality.

Kay, I'll take you up on that. Cheers!
