8,779 miles. That's the distance between Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) and Los Angeles.
My name is Teng Ky-Gan (pronounced like 'Keegan') and I live on the other side of the planet. Through Stage32, I found a packaging executive who believed in my story, developed the script, packaged it, and that led to a script option within a year (that's REALLY fast in my opinion). You can read more here https://www.stage32.com/blog/Meet-a-Talented-Writer-Who-Found-His-Champion . But here's what I'd really like to emphasize - if you got a good story, it doesn't matter where you're from. Work on your craft and let Stage32 handle the 'business' side of things. I've had wonderful experiences working with Stage32 people. They're really genuine and they want us writers to succeed. If you have a script, I encourage you to click on the Script Services tab. Who knows what that'll lead you to!
If you're from outside LA (or the USA), I'd love to hear where you're from. Comment below!
Hi Teng
Congratulations, you've done amazingly well. I'm in the UK and I have written a feature drama. The people and services on this site have helped me tremendously and I really love networking and connecting here, it's amazing.

Congratulations, Teng.
Awesome and inspiring! Congrats.
@Teng congratulations. You’re right (reading more) that technology last several years has broken many barriers into film industry. Rarely though I’ve still stumbled across what I call “LA ISM” in that they think making it means one has to be bodily in LA. Interesting you’ve done a lot of projects for the stage also. I still try to meet in person with Stage 32 though, despite technology and disappointing won’t see them April cos London Screenwriters Festival been cancelled.
Congratulations, Teng, that's Huge!
