Aspiring Television & Film Producer Looking To Connect

Hi Stage 32 community,

I am an aspiring television and film producer currently living in Hampton Roads, Virginia but I hope to move to a bigger market in the near future. I will also be graduating from Regent University ( located in Virginia Beach, VA) with a masters degree in television and film producing in August (2020). I am hoping to gain more experience as a producer. But I do have several years of experience working on various film projects with many clients. So if anyone wants to connect and share tips, story ideas, or if I can assist locally or virtually I would be more than happy too!

Hi, Maurice. I'm a writer living in New York. I don't know Virginia well, but I've met a couple of wonderful people from Blacksburg. Good luck with your graduation and what comes next! from Amy Heebner (zrd9000@aol.com)

I write pilots, don't know if you're interested in producing for TV but it would be good to connect with one if you do. Welcome to L.A when you arrive.

Karen "Kay" Ross

Hey, William R Ward! Nice to meet you! Man, how many people from the DMV are on here?! This is crazy! I just moved to LA from Gaithersburg, MD, but I was raised in Alexandria/Springfield, VA (NoVA).

LET'S PLAY A GAME: If you could be a producer on any TV show past and current, what would they be and why?

You should definitely reach out on the Producing Lounge and see if there are any other DMV people in TV that you can connect with! https://www.stage32.com/lounge/producing

Enjoy exploring the lounges, and don't forget to comment and respond to others’ posts, too!

Congrats on all that you have accomplished so far..

Maurice, thanks for your reply. I was also writing to William Ward -- I'm not accustomed to these chat sessions, prefer e-mail. What do I write? Screenplays and stage plays, mostly. I'm also working on a chapter of a memoir/romance. Which genres do you write? Amy Heebner (zrd9000@aol.com)
