HBOMAX well done. I would love to be in front of people with that sort of cash and pull. Just getting there is an achievement.
My positive news. Second Zoom rehearsal for “The Hostage” is this week (10am their time 2am my time). I am writing some changes that are location specific. They will be shooting some exteriors starting Dec 14.
This part of production is fun. Polishing to the script to work with reality.

Barry John Terblanche you are like my brother. He needs people to feel connected to the earth. I like the isolation. I need to be able to find like minded people. Hence Stage32.
My wife has organised a BBQ for our friends this weekend. First one in three years. I love them. But need to see them.
South Africa and Sydney similar time zone. But a hell of a drive for a night out.

Just as an update. Got an email this morning (last night. saw it this morning). Day1 shooting call sheet.
Made me smile. A lot.
First of all...I love this thread thanks so much for starting...literally when things are going on that are out of our control...I am glad to know that there is a place with likeminded folks that I can share my positivity with and can also glean some positivity from....thank you... and happy holidays everyone...sending out positive vibes to all.

I have been repping an actor through a feature shoot this year, and the film finally wrapped a few weeks ago, in spite of COVID, delays etc. So get ready for "Broadway" by Christos Massalas sometime in the new year.
Also received the most positive rejection letter ever from a producer. They still passed, because of the European setting, but the praise was glowing, so that was nice.

I love positive threads and hearing about everyone's wins! So heartwarming.
Here's mine: my pilot made it into the Screencraft TV Pilot competition finals and I submitted a series bible for consideration. I also queried a lit management company and they got back to me requesting to read the same pilot. The snowball is picking up steam, y'all! Here's to 2021!

GOOD NEWS! I have no manager, no agent, no contract, no connections, and very few prospects of selling my scripts. This means that I have retained 100% creative control of my work, and am not liable to anyone! Plus, I have four completed scripts - two shorts and two features - which means that even if I suddenly perish in a grisly death tomorrow, or even after finishing this post, I will still have completed four scripts! Yay...I think.
