I have a couple goals! I want to start research on a new project, as well as finish revisions on at least one other project. I'm also outlining a novel project unrelated to my screenwriting. I'm really hoping 2021 is the year I can start cutting down on my day job and begin to support myself through my writing projects. Hopefully this will be a productive month for me!
Barry John Terblanche just be grateful you have grass. Me I'm shoveling snow if I want to go anywhere! Catherine Martin you sound like a juggling pro. I need to get good at juggling multiple projects. maybe I'll start a discussion asking for advice on that. Tony Byrd what's the podcast on? Give us a link! David C. Velasco Good luck with Austin! They give good feedback, so buy into that. Craig D Griffiths your projects sound interesting. They feature or tv?? Tiffany Rashawn thanks for starting this post! Me, I am deep into the rewrite pilot of CRUSADE (previsouly called Sword In The Tree). I could stay with MIkhail forever! He's been so elusive and now that we're finally melding I don't ever want to let go. BUT, I know I have to! Once the pilot and bible for CRUSADE are done I'm gonna try to rewrite OCCUPY THIS for tv - a bible and a pilot. I love writing bibles so it should be okay. Much love to all of you!! Happy 2021!
Tiffany, I want to continue making progress on the three screenplays I started last September: "Golden Oldies," "The Nutcrackers," and "Pipe Up!" (All three are music-oriented comedies, and the long-range goal is to complete them all by 5-31-2021...my paying job as a machine operator in a plastics factory notwithstanding.)
On top of that, I'm out to continue to make progress on my Prewrite pages...one page for each of my twelve completed screenplays.
And, by 1-31-2021, I want to join IMDB Pro.
Wishing you all the VERY BEST, Tiffany...especially on your new screenplay!
Sarah Gabrielle Baron they are features. The Hostage is about to restart filming. I added a link to the teaser. That was cut together by the camera crew out of what they had from a few days.
The Valley we are trying to rename. So we can take to people that read the original concept and see if we can give them new eyes (so to speak).
My goal is to finish my first pilot by the end of this week. Then have a few people look it over for grammatical errors then send it out to a min of three script consultants before pitching it. Happy New Year. Continue to stay Safe, Healthy, and Excited about Life
Happy New Year! My goal to finish a screenplay --- I've sort of finished the second draft but I need my friends to read it ; to continue to write to producers about "The Hemingways, " and try to get the ball rolling with my short script. I can but try!!
Everyone's goals sounds amazing! I'm excited for us! David C. Velasco thank you! Barry John Terblanche lol! Do what you gotta do!! Catherine Martin I know that it will be a very productive month for you. You got it! Tony Byrd I've been focused on being healthy, too. I'm always making adjustments and learning about what works for my body. Sarah Gabrielle Baron you're welcome!! Jim Boston you sound very prepared and organized. That's great! Ronald Moger same here! Nick Assunto thank you! Kacee DeMasi same to you. Be safe! Aray Brown absolutely! Go for it! To everyone- I'm rooting for you!!
Thanks Aray Brown! Hey Tiffany Rashawn it is great to have you here! Feel free to email me at any point. j.mirch@stage32.com - would love to hear what you're working on and how I can help.
Tiffany Rashawn --Hope you're making progress on your screenplay! When you join the Writer's Room, you can also join us at the Pitch Practices on Thursdays 7 PM PST. A great place to learn how to pitch and network with other screenwriters. And then you'll be ready to pitch your project when it's done!
