Next Screenwriting Battle starts March 4th

Hello!

I'm seeking more screenwriters to participate in the March open beta of Screenwriting Battle.

https://www.screenwritingbattle.com

It is 100% free. We don't ask for credit card information or any other shenanigans. US$400 in Amazon gift certificates to be won.

You are given 3 prompts and four days to write up-to 8 pages. It starts @ midnight on March 4th.

What is unique about this competition is that in order to be eligible to win, every participant must read, give feedback, and arbitrate three "battles" between two scripts. That means that all participants are also judges! It is a screenwriting competition for screenwriters, by screenwriters.

We are in the middle of the February Battle and it is going really well. People seem to enjoy it. I am trying to triple the number of participants for March.

Goto: https://www.screenwritingbattle.com create an account, then click Join Next Battle to register. Please ask any questions -- here, or email me at admin@screenwritingbattle.com

Cheers :)

Wal Friman

Up to 8 pages. Everything seems well planned here. Looks like fun.

Max Bjork

Thanks Wal! It has been a blast so far and it's cool to see writers take judging / giving feedback seriously.

Maurice Vaughan

Hi, Max. How are you? I'll keep the battle in mind.

Max Bjork

Thanks Maurice! I'm great and you? I hope to see on the site. It's a lot of fun. To be honest, I'm kind of bummed that I can't participate myself.

I have to resort to NYC Midnight which is good as well haha :D

Maurice Vaughan

I'm staying busy, Max. Pitching short scripts, a feature script, and a reality TV show. What projects are you working on?

Ted Westby

Sounds groovy. Count me in!

Max Bjork

Awesome Ted Westby ! I saw your registration :)

Nick Assunto - Stage 32 Script Services Coordinator -- Hi Nick! I was participating in my first NYC Midnight Screenplay competition in November. I had a lot of fun, but I found the best part was the forums and getting peer-reviewed by other writers. So I thought -- I wonder if I could gamify the short screenwriting competition and incentivize writers to give each other feedback. This is what I came up with :)

Hi Michael R. Barnard, sorry about that! Did your login get sorted out? You're showing up as a member on my site and that you verified your email. I also tried requesting a "forgot my password" with your email on my site and that seemed to send. Please ignore the password reset email if it is working for you now.

I'm not sure what happened. I'll investigate though and iron out those bugs... Thanks for your patience. If you still can't log in, please email me at admin@screenwritingbattle.com

David DeHaas

sounds fun!
