Hi all,
Since I got admitted to Law School but not Art School, I’ve kept my artistic ambitions and endeavors in the back-pocket. I have had a rewarding career as a lawyer and risk manager in the financial sector.
At 50+, I thought it would be time to have a new look on where I want to be in five to 10 years’ time, career wise. I’ve given myself five years to figure out whether the industry is something for me and whether I am something for the industry.
The stories I like to tell are historical true stories in the late middle ages of Europe (no dragons), crime true stories focusing on organised crime in the US (female lead) and, white collar insider crime and heist stories.

Keep following you dream Camilla Erlandsdotter. I really admire you for writing historical true stories. The research is fun, but man is it tough to write. I once worked on one and got about 10 pages in.

Hi Camilla Erlandsdotter! Cordial greetings from Helsinki, Finland. I've been pitching and submitting scripts here at Stage 32 for over two years now. Some good contacts yes, some good achievements (Quarterfinalist + Semifinalist) in competitions too, but no big scores (neither competitions wins nor optioned scripts) yet, despite having some heavy established hitters (Hollywood director attachments) and an Oscar winning special effects company attached. Be prepared to encounter some occasionally heavy age + nationality bias here, which may end up feeling very heavy and discouraging, but don't let that beat you down or demoralize you. A writer writes -- always -- and if your material is really good, someone will discover you, and you'll always remember your contemporaries and champions, I can promise you.
