Hey everyone! When I first started writing I wanted to get into the Sundance writers lab so bad! You know, take the Ryan Coogler route and end up directing Black Panther one day. I took so much time putting together my application, answering all the questions thoughtfully, I was convinced I had it in the bag… well it didn’t happen. So I applied the next year with a piece of material that I thought was leaps and bounds better and for sure they would choose me this time… didn’t happen. Well I didn’t let that stop me, I went to Sundance myself and ended up getting an EP to finance the script I had submitted to the writers lab. Don’t let the failures ever stop you!
