Writing is always on my mind. If I'm not working on writing, I'm thinking about it.. Thank you for this opportunity to learn from other writers and see what they are working on. To great writing.

Thanks. Someone once said, to be a writer is like having homework the rest of your life. I believe it's true...

I am basically finished with my sixth script and have just gone back to renovate a previous one. I find this one is run down and its structure needs insulation. I have spent time plugging the holes that emit drafts, and added humor for sunlight. A screenplay tends to go downhill when no one opens or closes its EXT's or INT's. Lol. Something to bear in mind as time goes on. To great writing...
Hi, Karen Crider. Welcome. How was it doing roasts? :)

They were well received. The biggest compliment a comedy writer can receive is laughter. I'm not as busy with roasts as I used to be. I am a writer, and consumed by it. I am enamored with words, metaphors and meanings. Some call it subtext. I call it fun.
Do you have characters roasting each other in your scripts, Karen Crider? What genre is your sixth script (Comedy, Animation, etc.)?

Hi Karen, you actually have the first and last name of my sister Karen Crider. How many completed screenplays do you have? Where are you at with them? I have only been entering Film Festivals that have a screenplay category and I've done quite well. I have only pitched a movie short to a producer. They're working on the budget and I'm hoping we actually get this one shot. Best of luck to you! - Val

It screwed up my words and would not let me write what I wanted. I have written six screenplays. Some, more comedy than drama. I am editing a previous one right now, as I am done with my present script. It's about a teen's right of passage to become a dancer. A legacy her late mother left behind, but her father wants her to be a nurse. Incongruity big time..,

Maurice: No, I do not. I live in the world of imagination. So do my characters. My sixth script is largely humor and angst. A teen girl has enough on her own without dealing with a father who has no appreciation for the arts, but only for the need to make money...
I can tell there's a lot of drama (and maybe internal conflict) in your story, Karen Crider.

She has a little Dennis the Menace brother and a conniving competitor, not only for the win on their dance competitions, but also for the boy they both love during Covid 19...
"Dennis the Menace" brother. :) Drama, stakes, humor, "Dennis the Menace" brother. It sounds like something I would watch.

I like clean material. There's so much vile stuff out there I wouldn't even let my dog watch...if I had a dog. I am working on a sci/fi right now in between the editing of my prior script. I also have a novel I want to convert to a script--also comedy...
Nice to meet a fellow sci-fi writer, Karen Crider
Hi. This will actually be my first sci fi. Aliens of course. I have a history of writing macabre pieces, so this is just a hop, skip and a jump from what I normally do. What about you? We been so busy talking about me, I am also curious what others are working on.
