Brand new to stage32

Hi everyone! I'm Katie. I'm a budding screenwriter who was just introduced to Stage32 by my friend Kareem! Look forward to meeting everyone! <3

James Welday

Welcome Katie, pleased to meet you!

Maurice Vaughan

Hi, Katie Mobley. Welcome. "Collateral Damage" sounds interesting. You can post the logline for it on here.

Katie Mobley

Thanks James! Wanna help me out later? I've got to set up log lines and stuff, and you'll be able to see those soonish!

I'm currently working through an edit of my pilot, "Collateral Damage". It's a story of cyclical violence set in a superhuman future.

I'm also starting a Christmas movie about werewolves for fun!

What about you?

James Welday

That sounds great, I'd be happy to help! I'm currently working on a few projects, one with a fellow writer here, as well as an animated spec feature.

Katie Mobley

Oooh! DM me! I MAJORED in animation!!

Katie Mobley

Maurice Vaughan , I just did. Check it out! I'm editing the back half of the pilot right now for structure's sake, but I'd love to tell you the overarching story!

Maurice Vaughan

Great, Katie Mobley. I'll check out the logline.

Hi, Katie. Welcome to your new writing journey, I can give you some basic tips. But ultimately each of us goes on our own writer's journey, lol Joseph Cambell. As you may know Syd field, The book Story, are good starting points, and writing screenplays that sell. Most writers love writing for spec, I feel that is also vital. That people write to sell, although the concept of (sell-out) some people in the art community use this term. I feel that a great writers, can adjust and be truthful to themselves. While also writing something, which is inspiring and memorable. I think that you have a sales background, will add to the value through your experience, of what you write about.

Katie Mobley

Thank you very much! I have both books! I ADORE "Story". My current script is a diversely cast script about mental health and superheroes, if you want to check it out. ;)
