Hi y'all,
I'm new to the community but I wanted to share (and do a virtual happy dance) that I made it past the 1st round of the Black Boy Writes, Black Girl Writes Mentorship Initiative! This is such a boost in confidence for me, because I've never written for TV before (I've written and produced shorts in the past, as well as one feature that has yet to be made), and I'm coming in with no professional screenwriting training. Anyone else apply to this mentorship or any other mentorship offered by Stage 32? What has your experience been?
