I know the world is full of pseudo-valentine messages today, but please bear with me whilst I share my observations.
When I started screenwriting just over a year ago, the general mantra was that it is a tough industry with high barriers to entry. It would have been easy to be deterred by that, but I hung on in there, and I’m glad I did.
What people don’t talk about enough is how mutually supportive the entertainment industry is - people who have often never or only briefly met share support, resources, offer their time to feedback on each other’s material, cheer each other’s successes and pick each other up after a setback. Other industries could learn a lot from us!
I would say to show some love to your creative community today but I don’t have to - I’m sure you will anyway.
Anyone who wants to connect, I'd be delighted to have you in my network!
Congrats!
Thanks for the likes and comments, hope you're having a great day!
Hi Kat. Yes the film industry is a very tough industry to break into. I have been writing for five years with no success and its been heartbreaking. I am so happy I've found this community, now screenwriting is effortless and so much more beautiful. All the very best to you.
I can attest to this support - so many people are super nice! Thanks for the shout out, Kat Rollinson !

Alicia Vaughan Indeed, it is great to have a supportive community to share both the highs and lows with, and keep each other motivated and moving forward. So in the spirit of this community, I would add "hang in there" on the success front and in the meantime, enjoy what you are writing, and share it with people who will smile when they read it. To see my characters on screen is the ultimate destination, but the journey is pretty cool too.

Karen "Kay" Ross - happy to share the love! Stage32 was a game changer for me - no more sitting on my own wondering what to do with my material, and I have met some lovely people here and got some great advice! :)
TJ Keenan - Damn, I would say the same about you but it may seem insincere if I just "back at ya". But totally true - you're a very talented writer, and if Infinite Riches doesn't hit the big screen one day, it will be the entertainment world's loss! You are one of the awesome people who inspired me to write this post - thank you for your guidance and positive vibes.
I'm so happy to have you in the community, Kat!! If you ever need an extra pair of eyes on a WIP, please let me know.
