International Women's Day - HARD FOUGHT VICTORY

Three years ago (how time flies!) I was commissioned by #CultureNL to write a play, to mark the centenary of Scottish women winning the vote in the UK, in 1918. So with International Women's Day upon us, I thought I would give my play a wee mention! Hard Fought Victory is a site-specific theatre piece telling the story of how Scottish women fought for the right to vote in general elections. Starring brilliant actors Betty Valencia and Jamie Lee Aitken, the play was performed as part of local International Women's Day events at Summerlee Museum (IWD2019) and Brannock High School (IWD2020). Hoping to get Hard Fought Victory back out there into the public domain soon! #deedsnotwords #IWD2022 #InternationalWomensDay #InternationalWomensDay2022 #IWD22

Karen "Kay" Ross

Hey Sarah, this is Karen from the Stage 32 team. I just wanted to let you know I moved your post from Your Stage to Authoring & Playwriting (since you're celebrating a play you wrote - and I'd love to hear other playwrites' thoughts on it!), as it fits much better there. Let me know if you have any questions, and all the best to you!

Thanks Karen, for re-posting this in the correct area. Much appreciated. Take care.
