About Phil

A dedicated (and somewhat obsessive) author of adult thriller novels, TV Drama series, and Middle Grade children's adventure novels, I am a highly motivated and passionate writer.

As a lover of intense and character driven narrative, I love creating stories that explore human characteristics. I have been writing full time since my Mum was diagnosed as terminally ill in 2014. When we lost a year later, it became more important than ever to write. I didn’t want to lose that memory, that ‘something’ that drove me to start writing again after not doing it since I was a teenager.

My debut novel ‘Hit’ is the first in a thriller series of books following disgraced British Lawyer and ex- Sandhurst Military Academy Sniper Mark King, as he turns hitman to bring his wife’s killers to justice. It was released in July 2017, winning me a coveted 5 star review seal from Readers Favorite.

I worked in the private financial and legal sector for 13 years, 7 of which for a worldwide finance company in Business Recovery Services. I have been writing full time since 2013.
Having spent time living and working in Hampshire, Wiltshire, Gloucester, Bristol and Birmingham, I now live in Hampshire with my wife and step-daughter.

During what little spare time I have, I like to indulge my hobbies of Psychology, oriental weaponry, music and (perhaps more than I should), Belgian Chocolate Tiffin's. I am pretty sure a tiffin and a cup of tea, can solve near enough ANY problem. I am currently represented by The Susan Mears Literary & Film Agency.
