I use a very outdated version of Final Draft, that has seen me through each script that I've written. It hasn't failed me yet, but I definitely should look into upgrading! lol
You can use even Microsoft Word.. I can email you a template that makes screenwriting easy in Word.. the most important thing is the screenplay not the software.. good luck
I use Movie Magic Screenwriter and found it to be pretty user friendly. But, it's not compatible with my newly updated computer... so I've been hanging on to my old computer for writing. I think it's time to take the plunge into FD. Thanks for all the input! :-)
There is no write or wrong answer to your question - just preference. You submit your scripts for consideration in a .pdf file format. Most any of the commonly used script writing software will do that. I use Final Draft 12 because I've come up through the years using it (from FD 6). It has a lot of bells & whistles that I don't use but as I've shifted into Producing/Directing, it has stuff that I rely on. The choice is yours but don't fret about it.

Dan Guardino Good to know. Throughout my career, I've had to learn software by hook or crook, so I'm a quick study. :-)
